The Symptom Burden Questionnaire™ for Long COVID (SBQ™-LC)
A validated questionnaire for understanding the symptoms associated with Long Covid
Welcome to the licensing portal for the Symptom Burden Questionnaire™ for Long COVID system (SBQ™-LC).
The SBQ™-LC is a modular patient-reported outcome (PRO) instrument and multi-domain item bank that has been developed rigorously in accordance with international best-practice and regulatory guidance. The SBQ™-LC system measures symptom burden in adults (18+ years) with “post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC), also known as “post COVID-19 condition” or “Long COVID”.
It is comprised of 17 independent scales covering 16 symptom domains and 1 scale measuring symptom impact on daily life. This flexible design means the SBQ™-LC may be administered in its entirety, or a subset of scales may be selected for targeted measurement.
The SBQ™-LC may be used in research, regulatory submissions, service evaluation, or as part of routine care.
The SBQ™-LC provides coverage of the recommended minimum Core Outcome Set (COS) for Post-COVID-19 Condition or Long COVID that was developed through an international Delphi consensus exercise (Munblit D, Nicholson T, Akrami A, et al. A core outcome set for post-COVID-19 condition in adults for use in clinical practice and research: an international Delphi consensus study. Lancet Respir Med. 2022 Jul;10(7):715-724. doi: 10.1016/S2213-2600(22)00169-2)
