Online Safety Goggles
Low cost, self assembly live streaming safety glasses for online learning in laboratory setting
We have developed the Online Safety Goggles to enable remote training and teaching whilst social distancing.
The googles are a low cost way to deliver:

We offer the instructions for cheap, lightweight, and easy to use video/audio streaming lab-goggles free of charge under a CC 4.0 license. They can be connected to a computer and used in video calling platforms as webcam and microphone.
The Online Safety Goggles allow the user to leverage remote teaching by streaming his work to recipients while wearing protective eyewear and having both hands unobstructed. Further use cases include interns or collaboration partners in labs abroad that can be supervised or taught by a researcher while not being in the same place. This has proven to be especially useful in times of Corona for keeping a safe distance but is also beneficial for collaborative projects overall.
The easy installation and setup with minimal cost make them an attractive tool to be used in every lab.
